EDISON FRANGU
Founder and Executive Director of the Open Gov Hub Albania
Edison FRANGU founded the OpenGov Hub Albania in February 2020. As Executive Director he oversees all strategy, operations, and programs for this growing social enterprise, and leads the design and implementation of programs to promote collaboration, innovation and learning across the Hub network of member organizations.
Edison has 16 years of experience in the nonprofit sector. He earned a Bachelor’s of Law from the University of Tirana in Albania. While continuing his law studies, Edison has been engaged in several youth organizations with a wide scope of activities including human rights, environment, governance, and social care programs under the leadership of organizations like British Council, Eden Center, Beyond Barriers, Walk Together and Initiative Group Alpbach Albania. These experiences equipped Edison with a vast knowledge concerning social phenomena, versed him with organizational, managerial and leadership skills to promote, maintain and achieve longstanding objectives on behalf of communities in need.
From 2013, Edison entered the public administration service as a specialist of Foreign Relations at the Municipality of Kamza and in the same time he was working at “Aleksander Moisiu” University at the Faculty of Education as an External Professor.
In 2015 – 2016 he served as professor of Law at “LUARASI” University on 2016-2017 he was appointed as a Senior Advisor to the Mayor of Klos Municipality in Albania. Contact Edison at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
